Hoodia popular weight loss drug

Hoodia has become quite popular weight loss drug for its natural appetite suppressant properties. Its active ingredient is an extract of Hoodia gordoni, that grows in the Kalahari Desert in southern Africa. It has become popular weight loss aid after it was found that native Africans use Hoodia to reduce hunger during long hunts.

Widely sold online, Hoodia is typically available in the form of pills or tablets for oral administration only. The active ingredient in Hoodia gordoni is the appetite-suppressing molecule, P57, which influences the brain in the manner similar to glucose. It makes the brain thinking you are full even when you haven’t eaten, thus reducing the number of consumed calories.

It is recommended not to take Hoodia without consulting your doctor in case you have:
• diabetes or take medicines to control your blood sugar levels
• anorexia, bulimia or any other eating disorder
• any heart diseases or if you take any heart medicines
• bleeding or blood clotting disorder or if you take medicines such as anticoagulants (aspirin, warfarin and others)

Hoodia is contraindicated if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or in case of hypersensitivity to its active ingredients.
